The regulatory GHG report (BEGES) is mandatory for:

• Private companies with more than 500 employees (250 in overseas territories)
• The State, local authorities, and public institutions

The complete Carbon Footprint assessment, although optional, is becoming a market standard for building an effective climate strategy.
The regulatory GHG report is a legal reporting requirement for certain companies and local authorities. It requires measuring all emissions (scopes 1, 2, and 3) and publishing a transition plan.

The Carbon Footprint assessment is a methodology developed by ADEME. It also covers all emissions (scopes 1, 2, and 3), but goes further by enabling the construction of a credible, ambitious climate strategy beyond regulatory compliance.
For entities subject to the obligation, the regulatory GHG report must be updated:
  • Every 3 years for local authorities, the State and public institutions,
  • Every 4 years for companies and associations.
For entities not subject to the obligation, it is recommended to perform a Carbon Footprint every 1 to 3 years, depending on:
  • Changes in activity,
  • Internal climate targets,
  • Stakeholder expectations.
Your company may be eligible for a Bpifrance subsidy under the Diag Décarbon’Action program, covering up to 40% of the service cost, subject to eligibility and approval by Bpifrance.
Yes. NUMTECH uses specialized Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) databases (such as ecoinvent) and also conducts simplified LCAs. This approach makes it possible to obtain more representative emission factors, particularly when standard data is too far from your operational realities.
