In early January, the TOTAL group chose to extend its use of the PICASSO* system, specifically developed by NUMTECH, on the Donges refinery. This system allows TOTAL to monitor and anticipate the risks of pollution caused by SO2 atmospheric releases emitted by the platform. NUMTECH provides high resolution meteorological forecasts to drive the system, is responsible for its maintenance, as well as an expertise service in meteorology and atmospheric dispersion in case of pollution peaks.
Partner since 2005, TOTAL renews its confidence in NUMTECH which is proud that its expertise and its software solutions efficiently help the group to control its impact on air quality in the environment of its site.
*The PICASSO system is the origin of Plum’Air®, software platform allowing to monitor in real-time and forecast the dispersion of gaseous plumes (odours included) around industrial facilities and sites, developed and distributed by NUMTECH.
