Urban Air® interface
In keeping with a major upstream work carried out with NUMTECH’s support by Scal’Air from the feasibility study of Urban Air®’s deployment to Nouméa’s modelling, until the configuration of the tool, one of our experts in urban modelling travelled to the premises of the Caledonian association for air quality monitoring in order to carry out an expertise mission.
During its stay on the island in March, NUMTECH supported the association for:
- Urban Air®’s operational installation over the Nouméa agglomeration,
- the implementation of forecasting (automation of calculations, specific calibration of the model for the different timeframes),
- the integration of this "air quality mapping and forecasting" part in Scal’Air’s website.
The agents of the surveillance network have also been trained in using the system.
The mediation with local players in the form of meetings and presentations represented a large part of the mission, such as the definition of the needs for data providers (meteorology and emission notably as formats, circuits and data sending routines are concerned).
Finally, the mission ended with a restitution meeting around the presentation of the first results from the platform which succesfully works over the capital of New Caledonia.
Developed by NUMTECH, Urban Air® is a decision-making tool allowing high resolution and operational urban air quality monitoring and surveillance.
