NUMTECH has implemented its Urban Air® system over San Francisco, Oakland and Richmond cities (USA)* within the framework of the Env&You project cofunded by EIT Digital.
NUMTECH’s contribution in this project consists in integrating its cutting-edge technology, Urban Air®, on the air quality modelling part.
The final purpose of the Env&You project was to develop a mobile application allowing the general public to know their exposure to air and noise pollutions. That is why the AMBICITI application was created. It was officially launched during week n°49 on San Francisco Bay Area. This presentation is an extension of the European launch in Europe over the city of Paris (Futur en Seine 2016, Journée sans voiture à Paris).
These three new cities join about thirty French and foreign cities that have now chosen this system allowing completing existing atmospheric pollution measurement networks. Indeed, Urban Air® has proven to be one of the best solutions on the market to meet the new requirements regarding assessment of population exposure to pollution in our cities. As a true decision-making support tool, it provides crucial information to decision-makers within the framework of scenarios of urban planning, development of environmental protection plans and zones, actions to limit population exposure.
